MKDIR or MD – create a folder on which drive you want
CHDIR or CD – change the folder in a drive
RMDIR sau RD – delete a folder
DIR – show you what do you have in a folder or in a drive
TYPE – show you the content of an ASCII file
COPY – help you to copy one or more files
XCOPY – help you to copy one or more folders
ERASE or DEL – help you to delete one or more folders
DATE – help you to change the date on your computer
PATH – define a way to find a folder or a file; for example: C:\>Exaple where Example is the folder you looking for and the C:\ it’s the drive; this could be C:\, D:\ ….. depends where it’s the folder you want to find.
SET – help you to setting the monitor, for example; like: C:\>SET DISPLAY = EGA (set the monitor in EGA mode)
TIME – set the internal clock of the computer
VER – show you MS-DOS version
BACKUP – help you to make safe copy for your favourite files
CHKDSK – check the disk for errors
DISKCOPY – help you to copy diferent files from one disk to another; it’s available just for floppy disk.
FDISK – help you to setup the hard-disk
FORMAT – format the hard drive (hard-disk or floppy disk)
LABEL – creating, modify or deleting a hard drive etiquete
MEM – show you how the memory it’s used
