MSI is well-known for the quality of their products. Either is about motherboards, videocards or notebooks, all have the guarantee of one of the most important producer in the computer parts. And the new GX640 (15.4″) and GX740 (17″) makes no exceptions.
You don’t need to see specifications to understand you have in front of your eyes a special product. It’s enough to see the combinations of colors and the alumminium-magnesium alloy casing to realize the potential of those two notebooks. So, let’s find out more about this two new models.
In the first place, both models have inside the new Intel i5 processor. A great choice and this will be seen not only in different applications. You will see the difference in any activity you have on this notebooks. Everything goes faster: games, applications, time to start of notebooks……absolutely everything. In second place, we will find the graphic cards. GX640 have ATi 5850 with 1GB DDR5 memory and the GX740 have ATi 5870 with the same memory, 1GB DDR5. I don’t have to tell you how the games look. It’s something fantastic. In fact, this two notebooks are for gaming. But I have to tell you……this graphic cards are in discreet versions. So……..
Now, about the sound. Both notebooks come with four speakers. The sound is ok, but you have to connect this notebooks to a 7.1 systems to have the quality. Anyway, especially when you travel, this two notebooks offer a good sound. GX740 have something more, because this model come with a subwoofer. It’s not a real subwoofer, but offer something special to the sound.
