Everybody knows about Celeron one thing: it’s a low-cost processor with few performance capabilities. But this Celeron dual-core it’s more then a simple low-cost processor. I know, we cannot compare with Core 2 Duo or Pentium Dual-core. But we can compare it with AMD Athlon x2 4200+ / 4400+ or even with a superior processor. Because this little thing, with a initial frequency by 1600MHz, can easily run at 2720MHz. At least I stop to this frequency. That means exccelent overclocking capabilities. And 3dmark2006 show 2254 CPU score. It’s a great job from this Celeron. I will publish a similar test with AMD Athlon x2 4200+, which theoretically is more powerful than this one. But …. so many differences. In test I use: MSI P31 Neo2, Celeron E1200, Crucial Balistix Tracer 2 x 1024MB, Western Digital with 250GB on IDE channel and nVidia 8800GT graphic card. A system which runs very good even today, the only difference is about graphic card: 8800GT was replaced with 9800GT.
