ASRock 990FX Extreme4

Soon, AMD will launch the new FX – series processors based on the Bulldozer architecture. For this new models, you have to use motherboards with AM3+ socket and the new chipsets, 990FX, 990X and 970. ASRock, one of the most important motherboard  producer, announced 990FX Extreme4. It’s a new motherboard and will be built around the most powerful chipset, 990FX. ASRock 990FX Extreme4 is designed for enthusiasts and overclockers and will offer the posibility to use both SLI and CrossFireX configurations. Yes, finally, on an AMD chipset you can use graphic cards in 2-way SLI, 3-way SLI or CrossFireX, in the same configuration with two or three graphic cards. But ASRock 990FX Extreme4 will come with other goodies, too: two PCI Express x1, two PCI, eight SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0 (two headers and two ports on the back panel), and 7.1 audio channel with THX TruStudio certification. We are curious how much will cost this motherboard, but will not be a cheap one, that’s for sure.
